I'm currently going through my hopefully last semester of college. I have a big senior show coming where I have to show my best work. Turn in is March 15th-18th, the actual show is on the 28th of March. I'm thankfully mostly ready, I just have 3-4 pieces I need to do before then. However I've had a recent problem.
I was getting parts to build a new PC because my old processor is dying and out of date, also I needed pretty much new everything. When I turned on my new PC it worked, however after the bios appeared and Windows 7 started loading it'll blue screen then instantly reset. My friend and I tried to find why, apparently my new motherboard is incompatible with Windows 7, so I have to get a copy of 10 on disc. It will not accept it from a USB. While doing all this it mentioned my HDD was not formatted right for the new system. I reformatted it...erased my HDD's data...and it still said it was nor formatted correctly. Don't worry, my art stuff is mostly saved on this laptop and in other places. I did lose some important things I cannot recover though. Hopefully a data recovery program can fix that.
I will be doing several things over the course of the week to try and get my PC working. I will be buying a copy of Windows 10 in disc form tomorrow to try and fix this. If it doesn't work I'll be calling some local specialists Monday.
The important thing for you all from this is I'm very sorry but I'll be taking longer with commissions and such until I get my new PC running. My laptop I'm using is fine and thankfully has a good majority of my data I lost. i can draw on it, but not as well as on my PC, nor as fast. If I need money for parts or repair I'll be opening a commission stream within a month, it'll be difficult especially as I have to juggle my senior show, but I have to.
I've been so stressed, but I don't like to whine. I hope you're all doing okay. Love you guys.
